The Lionesses retained the title after a 1-1 draw and a 3-1 shoot-out win, with Chloe Kelly scoring the decisive penalty.
England won UEFA Women's Euro 2025, beating Spain 3-1 on penalties after a 1-1 draw after extra time in the final in Basel on 27 July 2025. Chloe Kelly scored the winning penalty.
It was England's second European title, and the third Euros victory for coach Sarina Wiegman, which ties the record held by Gero Bisanz and Tina Theune. England had won on home soil in 2022.
Spain, who had won the 2023 World Cup, were beaten in the final. A year later their men's team won the World Cup, which made Spain the first nation to hold both World Cups together.
