Barcelona won the 2025-26 La Liga title, retaining the championship they won the season before. They sealed it by beating Real Madrid at Camp Nou on 10 May 2026, according to Yahoo Sports.
The table
The table published by Yahoo Sports shows Barcelona on 91 points and Real Madrid on 77 after 35 matches each. The season ran to 24 May with 38 matchdays, so the final order was settled later; Real Madrid are listed as second in the standings found, but the final points total should be checked on the official LaLiga site.
Since 2000-01, Barcelona have won 13 La Liga titles and Real Madrid nine. Valencia (2002 and 2004) and Atletico Madrid (2014 and 2021) have won the other four.
In context: winning the title against their biggest rivals, at home, made it one of the most memorable clinchers of the decade.
