Flamengo win the 2025 Copa Libertadores, beating Palmeiras 1-0 in Lima
Danilo's 67th-minute header gave Flamengo a fourth title and made them the first Brazilian club with four Libertadores trophies.
Flamengo won the 2025 Copa Libertadores, beating fellow Brazilian side Palmeiras 1-0 in the final in Lima on 29 November 2025. Danilo scored the only goal, rising to head home a corner in the 67th minute.
It was Flamengo's fourth Libertadores title, after 1981, 2019 and 2022, and the first time a Brazilian club has won the competition four times. Brazilian clubs have won every edition since 2019: Palmeiras (2020 and 2021), Flamengo (2019, 2022 and 2025), Fluminense (2023) and Botafogo (2024).
One fan wiki lists a different winner, but Wikipedia, Al Jazeera and beIN Sports all report Flamengo, so we follow them.
In context: the last South American team to win the Club World Cup was Corinthians, in 2012.
